about shari

Shari Brady spent most of her high school years writing in her diary, playing her guitar, and wishing she were somebody else.  Now she spends most of her time writing novels, trying to re-learn the guitar, and is really glad she isn’t anybody else.

When Shari isn’t writing in her office, she’s writing a story in her head or reading.  She also loves to spend time with her son and daughter, visiting museums, painting, or soaking up art somewhere in the city.  You’ll also find her hanging out with friends and laughing way too much, or walking the dog while listening to really loud music.

Shari loves to dress up and attend the Renaissance Fair and totally embarrass her kids.  She also has a secret love for the demolition derby or any kind of dirt track racing.  There's nothing better than hearing the roar of engines and dirt flying into your cup on a hot summer night.

Wish I Could Have Said Goodbye has won numerous awards including first place in the Independent Publisher's Book Award,  Moonbeam Children's Book Award, Royal Dragonfly Book Award, and was chosen as one of the top three novel entries in the Anderbo Self-Publishing Book Award contest. Her next novel, All the World’s a Stage is scheduled for release in early 2014.  She’s earned a Bachelor Degree in Business from Loyola University and a Certificate in Creative Writing from University of Chicago.  She’s a native Chicagoan and lives in the suburbs with her two awesome kids and a shelter dog named Betty Queen Elizabeth.
